The challenges of 2020 caused us to take a pause and look at our lives with a new perspective. We examined our habits, routines, and beliefs while sheltering at home, social distancing, and facing health risks. We adapted by focusing our attention on family, exploring new creative outlets, redefining priorities, and adjusting to a slower pace.

As the pandemic appears to be turning around, the tendency might be to let our mindful changes fade. Reverting back to the way things used to be can feel like the comfortable choice. But if we are honest with ourselves, we may find that some of our 2020 shifts were actually beneficial. Embracing new patterns, perspectives, and paradigms was a good lesson for all of us. As we move into the future, there are many reasons to consider carrying these new behaviors forward.Â
